  • Bird Ringing Demonstration

    Coming Soon
Join our licenced bird ringers to see how birds are caught, ringed and measured before being released back into the wild. No experience needed for this 2 hour event where we hope to give you an up close encounter with some of our feathered residents and better understanding of how and why we ring birds here at Boothby. Take an amble back through our rewilding site with your guide for a cup of tea and a chance to ask any further questions.

  • Bird Ringing Weekend

    Coming Soon
Looking to upgrade or renew your bird-ringing certification? Join us over two days for a unique combination of two morning bird-ringing training and assessment sessions and two afternoon guided tours and talks about Boothby Wildland. Accommodation available.

Boothby Nature Day | June 30th 2024

Our 2023 community nature day was a great success so we’re bringing it back this summer. Once again we’ll offer free guided tours including expert-led bird, butterfly and bee walks. It’s a great chance to find out more about the wildland, with plenty of the team on hand to answer questions.

Children are warmly welcomed and will be able to enjoy a variety of nature-based activities. Why not bring a picnic to enjoy in the farmhouse garden or sheltered barn!

No need to book, just join us at Boothby Lodge any time between 10am and 3pm.

Boothby Volunteering

In the last year our volunteers have achieved so much, from removing hundreds of tree guards, and building hibernaculum, to regenerating hedges and grafting apple trees for our orchard.

We meet every Thursday from 10am -2pm. No need to book. Simply join us at Boothby Lodge and you’ll be warmly welcomed. All equipment and hot drinks provided. Drop us an email if you have any questions.

Bring a Group

If you’re part of a local special interest group and would like to arrange an outing at Boothby or High Fen, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
